Facial blemishes can often run deep, and some treatments can leave potentially obvious marks. There’s an easier way to rejuvenate your skin from the inside out with intense pulsed light (IPL) photofacial. What is an IPL Photofacial?

Photofacials use short blasts of intense light energy, known as IPL, to boost collagen and elastin production deep within the skin’s layers. This reverses skin damage and promotes deep healing and cellular regeneration. The light energy targets various layers of the skin with heat, which stimulates your skin cells to produce more collagen and elastin proteins, which helps promote anti-aging effects. For taut, smooth, even toned, and more resilient skin, IPL photofacials are the versatile solution!

What Can an IPL Photofacial Do for You?

A straightforward procedure performed in-office, photofacials require minimal recovery and feature zero peeling. With our advanced intense pulsed light technology, we can treat:
  • Sun damage
  • Skin firmness
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Textured skin
  • Hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
  • Vascular lesions
  • Scarring, including acne scars
  • Longer term anti-aging care

Are IPL Photofacials Right for You?

One thing we love about targeted light energy is how it’s safe for virtually most skin types! While some skin tones may not qualify, most people are great candidates. Please note that IPL photofacials are not advised for pregnant and nursing women. Our team is ready to work with you, learning more about your goals and medical history, to determine if photofacials are the skin solution for you during one of our comprehensive consultations.

Your IPL Photofacial Appointment:
What to Expect

After we’ve gotten to know you in a complementary consultation, we’ll provide instructions on how to prepare for your photofacial. We advise you to avoid the sun and alcohol, as well as skin-sensitizing topicals like chemical exfoliants, vitamin C, and vitamin A derivatives. Once you’re in the treatment room, we start by cleansing your skin and applying a conducive treatment gel. We then place the device with the appropriate settings to the desired treatment area. Afterward, you’re ready to go! We again recommend you use a high factor SPF, but we’ll provide more detailed information in the office. Recovery is simple, but you may have to avoid makeup for 24 hours following if you are dealing with mild sensitivity and redness.
